COVERUPS & KAFTANS - MARY JANE RESORT WEAR
For the hour between the beach and the table. Kaftans in cotton that carry the weight of the afternoon, coverups in silk for when the light begins to turn. Each piece leaves our atelier in a numbered run.
Q & A
Q. What's the difference between a kaftan and a coverup?
A. A kaftan is a longer, fuller piece — cut to move — typically worn through the afternoon and into dinner.
A coverup is lighter and shorter, designed for the transition from swim to lunch. We make both in small
numbered editions.
Q. Are Mary Jane kaftans suitable for dinner?
A. Yes. Our kaftans are designed to carry through the afternoon into dinner — in silk for evening light, in
cotton for relaxed table settings by the sea.
Q. What fabrics are Mary Jane kaftans made from?
A. Our kaftans are made in silk and cotton, depending on the moment they're designed for. Silk for
evening, cotton for daytime. All cut in our atelier in Mexico.
